Training Activites and Resources
Tuesday Night Bible Study (TBS) Every other Tuesday night during the school year the teens meet in the Youth Room for an in-depth study of God's Word. Some of the subjects we study include: How Did We Get the Bible? Difficult Issues, Leadership, and Personal Evangelism.
Family Home Bible Studies These workbooks are one of the most valuable resources we use here at North MacArthur. We encourage our fathers and mothers to set one night a week aside to have a family night in which they sit down together, study God's word, and discuss what's happening in each others lives. We are striving to get back to God's plan for raising families. See Deuteronomy 6:4-9.
Family Devotionals Our families meet together on occasion for a time of eating, singing, and a devotional from God's Word taught by one of our Dads from North Mac.
Leadership Training for Christ (LTC) Every other year our families will be involved in leadership training for our youth. This wonderful event takes place at the convention center in Tulsa, OK. Our next participation we be April 10-11, 2009.
Oklahoma City Preacher Training Camp (OKC PTC) The North MacArthur church will be hosting a preacher training camp at the church building each summer for young men going into 10th grade through graduated college age. We have solid, dynamic preachers from all over the brotherhood coming to preach and train our young men to have a passion for preaching. The date this summer will be July 27 - August 1, 2008.
Summer Internship Program For three months during the summer a junior or senior young man from the North MacArthur youth group will serve as the summer youth intern for grades 3rd - 5th. He teaches class, organizes devotionals and activities and assists the family and youth minister. This program provides great opportunity to develop more spiritual leaders in the Lord's body. This program will begin on June 1 through the second week of August.
Bible Classes The North MacArthur church strives to provide strong, Biblical classes for our youth and families to equip them to love, serve and teach the lost.
