Gijs and Arine were married in October 2021 and began their ministry work as a married couple. From Gijs: “Fifty-four percent of the people in the Netherlands claim to be atheist. Churches have a difficult time growing because evangelism is challenging and youth are leaving the church. We evangelize online and by organizing events. We are building relationships with churches in Europe to collaborate using these modern methods. We engage in Bible studies and build personal relationships while we help people get to know the life as a Christian.
The Andrew Connally School of Preaching is located in Arusha, Tanzania. The school was established in 2001 in conjunction with the Bear Valley Bible Institute (Denver, Colorado) to train locals to evangelize and preach throughout that region. We are partnering with the school to help sponsor the local preachers that attend the school.
Taylor Cave has been working with the South Walker Congregation in developing a strategy to reach “second generation” Hispanics. Like many urban congregations, as time has passed the makeup of the neighborhood has changed, attendance has declined and the remaining members were left searching for a new vision. The Cave’s, along with Jacob & Savanna Bautista, David and Aron Clevenger, and bilingual interns, are working together to reach the predominantly Hispanic neighborhood that surrounds their building.
Mike and Brenda spend 6 months each year overseeing work in Bangladesh and Nepal. Mike also teaches courses at the Khulna Bible College in Bangladesh. Please pray for the work in Nepal, as Nepal has recently adopted laws restricting evangelism and conversions.
Chris is a former H.I.M. worker but now works full time as a Minister at the Artillery Road Church of Christ in Coleraine, Northern Ireland. He spent the summer working with kids at Shamrock Bible Camp.
Jonathan is currently serving as an instructor and coordinator for the World Bible Institute in Ghana and Togo, West Africa. The World Bible Institute strives to develop mission efforts that are indigenous and self- reliant. Jonathan makes three trips a year to Africa to teach classes and check on the various schools.
Mauro and Marilda are a Brazilian couple that have worked with the church in Curitiba for over 20 years. They have transitioned into part time work with that congregation, and have begun traveling throughout Brazil preaching and teaching, helping church leaders deepen in their biblical knowledge and smaller congregations to grow in their efforts.
The need for trained local preachers is a constant challenge in mission work, including in the country of Togo. We are involved in supporting 5 preachers a year to go through the preacher training program. This effort is overseen by Willie Gley, a long-time missionary to Ghana and Togo.
Ricky Gootam is originally from India, but received his education in the USA. He has a B.A. from Freed Hardeman University and an MBA from Oklahoma Christian University. Ricky returned to India and has been involved in many different ministries, including radio and TV shows, running a children’s home and preaching in local villages. Ricky is using our support to print and distribute Bibles.
Tavaro and Shameika were members at North MacArthur from 2007-2010. After 2 years of training at Memphis School of Preaching, they returned to their native country of the Bahamas in February of 2018 to plant a church. They are involved in benevolence efforts, personal Bible studies and church growth in the community of Eight Mile Rock, which is about 14 miles from Freeport on Grand Bahama Island.
After a two-year internship with North MacArthur, BK and Han returned to their home country of South Korea in February of 2017. They are currently working with a small house church, helping it mature and grow.
Stephen Kearby works with Chris Hill in Luther mentoring congregational members for service in the body of Christ. Stephen’s current work includes the Thursday Food Program, coordinating multiple VBS-like events held at the service center, preaching at local congregations in Luther, Nicoma Park, and the Jones Disabled Living Center. In addition Stephen works at the Luther service center 3 days a week.
For the past 20 years, Mel Sr. & Marly Latorre have spent their time training and equipping local men and women for the work of ministry. Just like the apostle Paul sought to prepare Timothy, so that he could in turn prepare others, Mel has sought to do the same. The North MacArthur Congregation has financially partnered with the Latorre's by providing funds exclusively to be used for the training of these men and women.
Colin and Ellen McKee are veteran missionaries in Indonesia, with over 3 decades of work in this mission field. The McKee’s make two trips each year to Indonesia, to work training the leadership in the local churches.

Chris and Melinda are pillars of strength for the church in New Zealand, by preaching, mentoring, and teaching the lost. Chris works with many congregations around New Zealand and the South Pacific. His home congregation, the Otumoetai Church of Christ, currently has about 90 members.

Tony and Heidi’s desire is to plant a church in Olomouc, Czech Republic. They are worshiping with a congregation in Prague initially until they learn the language and are able to do do it at their home. Their future plans are to work with Church of Christ Plants and World English Institute to advertise free English lessons to get connected with the people. They are currently involved in a class for intensive Czech language learning.
Prissy and several of her children & grandchildren return to the Philippines each year for 1-3 months. Types of work: personal one-on-one Bible studies, medical & relief missions, feeding programs, teaching women & children, training seminars, encouragement of the saints, counseling sessions and ongoing “Missing Link Missions” (Making teaching materials and installing children’s tutorial centers in the local congregations for the purpose of evangelism).
For the past 19 years, North MacArthur has been supporting Daniel, a native Indonesian preacher, and his wife Naomi. They oversee all daily operations of the many ministries the church in Indonesia is known for.
The Todachine family has recently moved from Phoenix where they worked with the Salt River congregation. They are continuing to reach out to the Native American population on the Navajo reservation in Kayenta, Arizona, where Evan and Crystal both grew up.
